From among 15 companies who put itself forward as a candidate, the nominations went to: CoBouw Polska Sp. z.o.o. (Łódź, Poland), Holding J. Timmermans Diessen BV (Diessen, Netherlands) and Nijhof-Wassik Groep (Rijssen, Netherlands). A highly qualified jury chaired by Rutger Schellens, member of the Managing Board of Rabobank International, awarded ex aequo two companies: CoBouw Polska Sp. z.o.o. and Nijhof-Wassink Groep.

125 guests, directly or indirectly involved in economic relationships with Poland, attended the ceremony. The official presentation of the DPTA award was prefaced with a lecture by Undersecretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Regional Development, Jarosław Pawłowski, on topics relating to allocation of the European grants and their importance to development of the Polish economy as well as support of enterprises. Furthermore, two Dutch entrepreneurs Staf Beems, President of the Management Board of Fornetti Wrocław Spółka z.o.o. and Coen Meijer, Managing Director of Zelandia Polska talked about the behind-the-scenes aspects of their business activities in Poland during a panel discussion. This year for the first time also a Polish businessman Jan Olszewski, Deputy Chairman of Solaris Bus & Coach participated in the discussion.  

The Dutch Polish Trade Award is a joint initiative of the Netherlands Polish Council for Trade Promotion NPCH in The Hague and The Netherlands Polish Chamber for Commerce in Warsaw in close cooperation with the Polish Embassy in The Hague. The aim of this award is to promote economic relations between Poland and The Netherlands as well as Dutch companies doing business in Poland.
